The Hunt was on at White Oak Lodge & Resort

The Easter Bunny hopped into White Oak Lodge & Resort just in time for Easter Sunday.

Overland Park, Kansas, April 5, 2010. The staff at White Oak Lodge & Resort didn’t let April 4, 2010 go by without preparing a traditional celebration for the resort’s youngest guests. Approximately 25 children and their parents hunted for 200 candy-filled eggs on Sunday, hidden along the scenic walking paths at the resort that wind through the beautiful vacation log cabins. The resort provided baskets, the candy-filled eggs and refreshments following the hunt.

"We told all of our guests at check-in we were hosting a complimentary Easter egg hunt," said, Janine Keohane, resort staffer. "The kids really enjoyed hunting for eggs and afterward everyone gathered at the pool house for cookies and drinks."

The festivities at the resort carried on past the weekend. The first cookout of the season was held Wednesday, April 7. About 50 guests gathered at the pool house for grilled burgers and hot dogs with all the fixings including chips and drinks, prepared and served by the White Oak Lodge & Resort staff.

For the Easter holiday, the resort was at one-hundred percent occupancy. The guests at White Oak Lodge & Resort vacation in two- or three-bedroom log homes or spacious two-bedroom condominiums, all fully furnished. White Oak Lodge and Resort is a Global Connections, Inc. managed resort.
