Global Connections, Inc., one of the nation’s most respected travel clubs, has announced that the producers of Great Taste will feature their company and one of its resorts in an upcoming episode of Innovative Second Home Solutions as part of the show’s series, Real Estate Developers of Distinction. The segment will air twice nationally on the Travel Channel, as well as 48 times regionally on ION (PAX-TV).
As a leader in the growing travel industry, Global Connections provides a host of vacationing options, including its unique whole ownership log cabin vacation homes at the White Oak Lodge & Resort near Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Great Taste will highlight this distinctive second home whole ownership property.
Commented Tom Lyons, President of Global Connections. “We are delighted that the Great Taste series has chosen the homes at White Oak Lodge for their show.” The show’s producers travel worldwide to bring features that combine impeccable style with exquisite taste.
Lyons is at the helm of White Oak LLC, overseeing the development of the 60 log cabin homes. Completion of construction and sell out of the resort is expected this year. The log cabins currently range in sales prices from $279,000 to $ 319,000. Global Connections has previously developed vacation properties in several locations including California, Florida, Hawaii and Colorado.
Located just steps from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and eight miles from Gatlinburg, each log home in the White Oak Lodge & Resort is custom-designed and built with cutting-edge technology. With almost 1,500 square feet of space, each fully furnished two- or three-bedroom log home features a covered front porch and screened-in back porch with hot tub; custom cabinets; stone fireplace; and flat-screen televisions with DVD players. A whirlpool bath is available in select three-bedroom master suites, and two-bedrooms offer a loft game room complete with pool table. On site amenities include a swimming pool with two grottos and waterfalls. A beach-style entrance offers the ideal spot to wade into the pool, and stone benches are built along the inside edge for comfortable water seating. A stone fire pit is adjacent to the pool.
Headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, the 20-year old Global Connections travel club enjoys a membership base of over 100,000. During 2007, members used over 25,000 weeks in almost 700 resorts located from the Midwest to the Caribbean. The company’s 21 sales centers are located in 13 states and are distributors of its travel club product, Global Discovery Vacations (GDV).
More ›Above and beyond our expectations! The cabin was a 5 star, very clean and well cared for. Really appreciate that the furnishings are all the same in every cabin. The manage team was terrific and really take pride in the resort.
